Peachtree City, Ga., August 3, 2015 -- Rinnai, the number-one selling brand of tankless water heaters in the US and Canada, has again been honored by David Weekley Homes with the builder’s nationally acclaimed “Partners of Choice” Award. This is the 4th consecutive year that Rinnai has received the coveted designation, which was given to only 23 out of 200-plus of the national builders’ eligible suppliers. Rinnai was the only tankless water heater brand to be recognized.
“The length and depth of our process make it impossible to talk your way to success. Partners must successfully manage thousands of transactions annually,” said Bill Justus, vice president of supply chain services at David Weekley Homes, the nation’s largest, privately-held homebuilder. “Rinnai has demonstrated for 4 years running that they are world class in providing service to David Weekley Homes.”
In 2004, David Weekley Homes implemented its comprehensive supplier evaluation system that considers its suppliers’ performance in providing goods and services throughout the entire supply chain over the previous 12 months. This unique platform challenges its national trading partners to provide the optimum combination of price, service and quality throughout the supply chain in delivering products to the homebuilder. More than 800 team members, ranging from the executive team and purchasing to accounts payable and warranty, rate the homebuilders’ suppliers over the course of the year, with the highest scores receiving the coveted “Partners of the Choice” designation.
“David Weekley Homes understands the value of its committed partners and the vital role they play for a homebuilder,” said Aaron Baugh, national builder sales manager at Rinnai. “When a builder of this stature recognizes Rinnai four years in a row, we consider it a great honor.”
